EASY TO TALK TO

Amanda is so easy to talk to about food and doesn’t judge you for any choices you’ve made. She is compassionate, sincere and wants to help you find a way incorporate a healthy relationship of food into your lifestyle in a way that is sustainable for the long run.

You’re in the right place if…

N

Your love-hate relationship with food keep you from enjoying date night with pizza and a glass of wine

N

You're confused about what you should eat to be healthy

N

You're frustrated from trying to eat clean all day only to end up bingeing on M&Ms and Rom Coms at night

N

You know what you should be doing to lose weight but your old diet tricks don't work anymore since you turned 40

You don’t have to figure this out alone. With so much confusing health and wellness information out there, let me make this easy on you.

You’ve already struggled enough. Isn’t it time to do something different?

AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE

Amanda has taught me to open my eyes to novel approaches to health and nutrition that doesn’t focus on superficial things. She cares about her clients and it shows. I have gained more insight into why I overeat, things I am lacking in my life, and how to feed myself with more than just food.  I am excited to continue our work together. My only complaint is that more Nutritionists aren’t like her!

Thanks Amanda!

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Let’s Try Different, Not Harder

I’ve worked with women in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s for over a decade. Women who struggled to find a sustainable healthy diet and lifestyle approach that worked for them in the long term.

Women ready to live healthy lives beyond cultural ideal beauty standards. Women ready to lose the mental and emotional weight of dieting and honor their health with delicious food, exercise they enjoy, and a community of friends who have more to talk about than what they’re not eating.

Every new adventure begins with the first step.

Are you ready to thrive in midlife?

Not sure what I was getting into

I was concerned about not maintaining a weight I thought was important for health and my A1C was becoming an issue. Not really knowing what I was getting into, I totally trusted Amanda. It has been hard work but the best decision I have ever made. My daughter in her 20s also worked with Amanda. We are both grateful for her compassion and guidance. My body and mind thank her every day!

GOT QUESTIONS?

I’d Love to Answer Them!

Do you see people in person or virtually?

Alpine Nutrition LLC is a completely virtual counseling practice and online educator. I started virtual counseling with clients way back before it was COVID-cool to do so for two reasons.

First, I want my clients to feel relaxed in the comfort of their own space. And second, my life is split between two home offices in Washington and Oregon. I love living with the best of both worlds, and I love to work with clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

How do you typically work with people one-on-one?

This is an excellent question for a discovery call! Your food and body story is unique to you, which means you deserve equally individual nutrition counseling.

To help you undiet your relationship with food and your body, we’ll explore the principles of intuitive eating as they relate to your health goals.

We’ll talk about how stress, the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, and body image relate to making choices about food and exercise. And we’ll dig deeper into your beliefs about food, health, and your body to discover what thoughts hold you back from making food choices with confidence to feel your best in midlife.

My work is rooted in intuitive eating, mindfulness and stress resilience, gentle nutrition, and body respect. I’m a firm believer that all foods have a place at your table and that you have permission to eat foods that satisfy you.

This type of nutrition counseling is about so much more than “eat this, don’t eat that.” It’s about creating a healthy life-long relationship with food and your body by savoring food and your body.

I’d love to hear your food and body story! Click here to contact me personally, and let’s chat.

When does the next group session start?

I have a chronic health condition, is intuitive eating right for me?

Yes!

Intuitive eating and the SAVOR Strategies of Healing are about learning your body’s needs and responding with compassionate curiosity. These techniques work very well for people with chronic health conditions such as eating disorder recovery, diabetes or general blood sugar concerns, elevated cholesterol and heart disease, and digestive issues such as IBS and food intolerance or sensitivities.

Please note because I have a background specialty in  eating disorders treatment, I don’t prescribe therapeutic diets for any of my clients.

What do I need to do before my first session?

Before our first session, I’d love to schedule a 20-minute discovery call so we can get to know each other better. This is an excellent way for me to understand more about your individual nutrition needs and for you to get your questions answered in real-time.

How much time is each session?

Our initial session, where I get to know your food and body story more personally, is 60-75 minutes. All follow-up sessions are 50-60 minutes.

Do you offer evening and weekend sessions?

I work with clients on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am – 6 pm. Wednesdays are reserved for group counseling sessions and live Q&As.

What questions should I ask my insurance before my first session?

I’m considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. Before our first session, you’ll want to call your insurance company and ask them if you have out-of-network benefits for nutrition counseling.

If you do, yay! That means you’ll be reimbursed a portion of my fees after you pay cash rates at the time of your session. I will give you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
